10. 傳輸
DVB系統(tǒng)的核心是它的一系列傳輸規(guī)范。第一個(gè)規(guī)范是DVB-S，即DVB衛(wèi)星傳輸（satellite transmission）標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，基于QPSK，現(xiàn)在是事實(shí)上的數(shù)字TV應(yīng)用世界衛(wèi)星傳輸標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。DVB-C，即電纜遞交機(jī)制（cable delivery），與DVB-S關(guān)系密切，是基于64-QAM，當(dāng)然也支持更高階的調(diào)制方案。
DVB-T（terrestrial transmission）則是DVB三個(gè)核心系統(tǒng)中最年輕的。它基于COFDM （Coded Orthogonal Frequency Divisional Multiplexing，編碼正交頻分復(fù)用）和QPSK、16 QAM以及64 QAM，是今天可用的最復(fù)雜和最靈活的數(shù)字地面?zhèn)鬏斚到y(tǒng)。DVB-T允許服務(wù)提供商不用多大努力就能匹配甚至改進(jìn)模擬電視的覆蓋。它將數(shù)字地面電視的范圍擴(kuò)展到移動領(lǐng)域（在此之前這被認(rèn)為是不可能的?。?，或擴(kuò)展到與其他數(shù)字系統(tǒng)結(jié)合。
與這三個(gè)核心標(biāo)準(zhǔn)相關(guān)聯(lián)的是一組實(shí)現(xiàn)指南和為微波數(shù)字電視遞交設(shè)計(jì)的文檔方案。
